Frequently Asked Questions

TASTING AND CONSULTATION

Want to try our cake? Great! Pick out three cake flavors, two fillings, and two types of frosting to try. This is an awesome opportunity to build the cake of your dreams. No combination judgement here! Ready to make your consultation appointment? Since we’re a small bakery (it’s just me!), cake tastings need to be scheduled ahead of time.  We would love to see you any time, Monday-Wednesday starting as soon as 10am at our private cake studio.

Fine print: Cake tastings are limited to 4 people. Tastings are $50.00 and pre-paid. If your order exceeds $400, $20 of the tasting fee will be applied back to the cake order. Most consultations last between 40 minutes to an hour.

DESIGNS FROM PINTEREST

We can recreate almost anything you find online! We do, however, have certain restrictions when it comes to copyright issues with certain brands. We cannot recreate cakes exactly as any photo. All cakes are works of art and each decorator is an artist, we all have our own different styles, tools, and methods of creating custom cakes. We will use any provided photos as inspiration. Images, pictures, and colors are welcomed along with the use of Pinterest and Google pictures for design inspiration, but we cannot recreate exact replicas of another bakers’ work.

DIFFERENT CAKES FOR DIFFERENT TIERS

You may select different cakes flavors for each tier; however the final cost will be impacted by flavors chosen and flavor slices will not be equal.

PAYMENTS

To hold your date, weddings and large event orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance due two weeks before your event. We’re happy to help you budget with a 3-5 month payment plan… just let us know!

Payments taken: Zelle, PayPal or Cash

CANCELLATION

We understand life happens and you may need to cancel or postpone your order. Please let us know two weeks in advance if you need to cancel an order – you’ll receive a full refund. Orders cancelled one week out are given 50% refund.

Any order cancelled the week-of will receive no refund and regardless of the cancellation date, the 50% deposit is always non-refundable.

DELIVERY

We have a $30 delivery fee for locations inside the 610 Loop. Any location outside of the 610 loop will incur an additional $.60/per mile plus tolls, round trip. Distances are determined using Google maps’ shortest route with tolls.

STORING TIPS

Cakes are best to be eaten as soon as you can. If you are picking your cake up the day before the event, you do need to refrigerate your cake. We use real milk, butter, and eggs and it is important for those to stay fresh. It is best to pull your cake out of the fridge at least 2-3 hours before the event. We feel our cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature.

Cookies keep for up to four days. For best results, place the cookies in an airtight container with a slice of bread; replacing it when it becomes hard. Brownies can last up to five days if placed in a refrigerator but can become slightly dry. No worries though, heat the brownies up and they are back to being soft and gooey chocolate!

ALLERGIES

We make egg free, nut free, dairy free, & gluten free cakes. These orders need to be placed at least 1 week in advance. We do not make vegan cakes. We can only accommodate one allergy per cake with the only exception being nut free.
